ARCHAEOLOGICAL GARDEN JERUSALEM

ARCHAEOLOGICAL GARDEN JERUSALEM

A visitor building at the edge of an excavated site, where the difficulty is arriving in numbers without overwhelming what is already there.

A glass volume carries circulation and lifts against a wall of board-marked concrete, while a stepped terrace of stone and planting works as both seating and the route up to the ruins. The viewing deck reaches out just far enough to read the excavation whole.
